The third annual Freak Show Horror Film Festival runs this weekend, October 17-19, with a blood-soaked barrage of brain-busting horror films that’ll turn one red state a whole lot redder. Orlando, Florida will play horrid host to shorts and features all weekend long as part of the Spooky Empire horror convention, and to top it all off genre master George A. Romero, he of Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Martin, Creepshow, and Knightriders fame – will be receiving a lifetime achievement award on Sunday.

Legend of the Seven Bloody Torturers is the kickoff movie on Friday night as the opener for the festival award winner Nobody, with additional features and shorts all day Saturday and Sunday. Check out the website for detailed listings, pictures, and gruesome swag.
